The Meikles Foundation, established in 2014 by Meikles Limited, is dedicated to creating a sustainable future for Zimbabwe’s vulnerable and disadvantaged communities. Guided by a mission to empower sustainable solutions in conservation, community welfare, education, and artistic excellence, we envision a country where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
Rooted in a tradition of corporate social responsibility that dates back to the inception of the Meikles empire in the 1890s, our foundation builds upon a legacy of giving. The formalization of these efforts was inspired by Jeane Wessels, a passionate philanthropist and arts patron, who served as a founding trustee and continues to support the Foundation’s work.

Our Projects
The Foundation’s modus operandi is quite simple, partner with the cause, and potential donors to raise funds together for the benefit of the organization. We do not as matters of principal donate money from The Foundation’s coffers, we simply do not have the funding for the vast requests and requirements currently needed.
The Foundation members and volunteers work hard to fund raise additional necessary funding with partners of the project. In addition an energetic fundraising policy of approaching non-governmental organizations – locally and internationally, the diplomatic corps, individuals and organisations is in constant play to seek alternative funds.
