Feeding Projects
The Foundation participates in a variety of different feeding projects including one-off feeding programs to regular feeding of the undernourished and vulnerable.
Stables Feeding Project – in partnership with MOBI Kitchen, the Foundation through consistent donations from our partners feed approximately 140 children weekly
Promise Path – Promise Path is a community-based program that provides essential support to children of prisoners and their caregivers by offering interventions in the areas of education assistance, community mentoring and spiritual resources. Pastor Wilson Femai alerted the Meikles Foundation to the desperate need of vulnerable members of the Braeside community. Besides supporting them with emergency food hampers, discussions are underway to assist them with self-help projects
Street Kids
Christmas morning brunch is an annual project for the Foundation where under the leadership of Pastor Tatenda 350 homeless of which 210 were ‘street kids’ children were served a hearty brunch. Partnering with Miracle Missions, Meikles Foundation, Colcom Foods, Garfunkels, and Hukuru
Earthly Hands
‘Earthly Hands’ a local non-profit, located in the Mt Hampden area, supports a group of orphans who are looked after by a grandparent. The organization provides a safe haven for the children in after school care providing educational activities and assistance where possible with food, clothing. Annually, to provide Christmas cheer, Meikles Foundation hosted a Christmas party for the 41 orphans. In addition to the eats and treats, MF provided each child with a gift, food hamper for the family, schoolbooks and clothing items.
