Passionate about animal welfare, the Foundation assists wherever possible, providing support for both animals and the staff working in the organizations.

Christon Bank Animal Welfare Project

This animal welfare organisation is funded and run by two retired ladies in the Christon Bank area.  Their objective is to assist the local population in the sterilization of as many dogs and cats possible in the area. The feeding program is linked to the sterilization program – if the owners agree to sterilize their pets, they are assisted with feeding, inoculations and veterinary care when needed. Meikles Foundation assists this worthy project with donations of   dog food

  SPCA/ZNSPCA/VAWZ & THE FRIEND ANIMAL FOUNDATION

 Throughout the year MF assist SPCA, NZSPCA, The Friend Animal Foundation and VAWZ with their various fundraising projects e. Golf days, sponsorship for Blue Cross.  In addition,  Meikles Foundation recognises the hard work of the dedicated staff – the unsung heroes –  and supplied each of their workers with a Christmas food hamper.  Over a hundred (100) hampers are donated nationwide.
