John Mafuka

We met John during the prison jersey project. He was one of the 100 dancers chosen by the prison to join the group. John had been sentenced to 20 years for armed robbery and at the end of his term his greatest desire was to be reunited with his family and start a new life.
To assist with his rehabilitation back into society, the Foundation funded a market garden farming venture which proved to be a great success. He was later employed within the Meikles group, and still continues to farm.
